We are please to support Live Music Now as our Christmas Charity at our Christmas concert on Monday 15th December.
Live Music Now was founded in 1977 by violinist Lord Yehudi Menuhin with the dual aims of supporting those with least access to music, and for whom it could offer the most profound benefits, and musicians at the start of their careers. Menuhin’s belief that “Music…is the language which penetrates most deeply into the human spirit…” still guides our work.
Today Live Music Now employs over 300 professional musicians to work in special schools, care homes, hospitals and other community venues, supporting emotional wellbeing, communication, resilience, inclusion and community building through music. In Somerset our musicians are currently to be found creating songs with young people with learning disabilities, giving interactive performances at special schools, and playing on the wards at Yeovil and Musgrove Park hospitals.
Please give generously when attending our Christmas concert
