We are delighted to introduce our new MD- and to share details of our upcoming summer concert.
Marysia Górska-Saj is a choir conductor and certified Alexander Technique teacher with two Master’s degrees in Choral Conducting—one from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (UK), and another in Choral Conducting and Music Education from the I.J. Paderewski Music Conservatoire in Pozna?, Poland.
In addition to Collegium Singers, she runs choirs in Bath and Weston and leads workshops for singers, conductors and musicians focused on reducing tension, improving vocal co-ordination and building more embodied awareness through the Alexander Technique.
Over the years, she has directed a wide range of ensembles, including choral societies, male voice choirs, children’s choirs, chamber choirs, and church choirs. She has trained with renowned conductors including Eric Whitacre, Simon Halsey, Morten Lauridsen, Peter Broadbent, and Adrian Partington.
In addition to conducting, she writes lyrics and collaborates on original musicals for children, combining music with storytelling and creative expression. When not making music, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, going for long walks and discovering the joys of gardening.
